Frequently Asked Questions

What is EV Rescue?

EV Rescue provides emergency mobile charging for electric vehicles that have run out of power on highways and major roads. Instead of towing your vehicle to a charging station, we bring the charge directly to you so you can safely continue your trip.

What areas do you serve?

We serve the Hudson Valley area, Brooklyn, Queens, Bronx, and Staten Island, with a primary base in Putnam and Westchester counties. Our coverage includes major highways and parkways across New York, Connecticut, and Northern New Jersey.

What types of electric vehicles do you support?

We provide emergency charging for all major EV brands, including Tesla, Ford, Kia, Hyundai, BMW, Mercedes-Benz, Volkswagen, Rivian, and more. If you’re unsure about your specific model, contact us and we’ll confirm compatibility.

How much charge will my vehicle receive?

We provide enough charge to safely get you to the nearest appropriate charging station. This is not intended to fully recharge your battery, but to get you back on the road quickly and safely.

Is emergency charging safe for my battery?

Yes. EV Rescue follows safe charging procedures designed to protect your vehicle and battery system. Our equipment is specifically designed for mobile emergency charging.

How long does it take for help to arrive?

Response times vary based on location, traffic, and availability, but our goal is always to reach you as quickly as possible. Once you submit a request, we’ll confirm your location and provide an estimated arrival time.

Is this service available on highways?

Yes — this service is specifically designed for highway and major roadway situations, including parkways and interstates. Safety is our top priority when assisting drivers in these locations.

Is EV Rescue cheaper than towing?

In most cases, yes. Emergency mobile charging typically costs significantly less than a tow, especially when the only goal is to reach a nearby charging station.

What information do I need to provide when booking?

To dispatch help quickly, we’ll ask for:
  • Your name and contact number

  • Vehicle make and model

  • Current location (highway name and nearest exit if possible)

  • Approximate battery level (if known)

Can I schedule EV Rescue in advance?

EV Rescue is primarily an on-demand emergency service, but advance arrangements may be possible for special situations or high-risk travel routes. Contact us to discuss options.

What if I’m in an unsafe situation?

If you are in immediate danger or feel unsafe, call 911 first. Once you are safe, contact EV Rescue for charging assistance.

Do you offer memberships or roadside plans?

At launch, EV Rescue operates on a per-service basis. Membership plans or fleet services may be introduced in the future.

How do I request service?

You can request emergency charging through our Schedule page or by calling us directly. We’ll confirm details and dispatch a mobile charging unit immediately.

What payment methods do you accept?

We accept *Square, Zelle, PayPal, and Venmo.
* A 3.5% processing fee applies to credit card payments made through Square.
